Breaking the egg, Sure would be nice to have a three vertical column layout (folders, messages, current message). This particular layout allows showing a lot of messages, but not given the current message list layout. I think it’s time to have an option to display a message item across two lines (line 1: from, date; line 2: subject).

Yep, that would be nice. :) (As it turns out, we have it, but you’re right that to be useful it would really need a two-line message item.)
